Kids Martial Arts
(4-7)

The kids program at Strike allows the students to burn off some extra energy in an engaging and fun class teaching them the values they need to succeed. Values like Focus and Discipline are what we pride our Kids Martial Arts program on. Our classes allows students to work on coordination, balance, and other physical traits that will definitely increase their ability outside of Taekwondo and thereof increasing their confidence and self-esteem as well.

Our students love getting their next belts and our proud to share that feeling with their friends in class and with their parents and instructors at Strike!

Youth Martial Arts
(8-12)

At Strike, our Youth Taekwondo program infuses physical fitness and mental focus into each class disguised as fun, exciting exercises and activities! Our innovative program allows our youth to learn high quality martial arts with the intent to only defend themselves and not to use for violence. Classes are designed to create passionate perseverant leaders who don’t back down!

Teens Martial Arts (13-18)

Motivation and discipline in this generation are both very important factors. With social media like TikTok and YouTube, youth and teens (and adults if we admit to it) are exposed to instant gratification constantly in a matter of seconds. Instant gratification tells you to keep doing what you are doing. This sort of gratification allows our students and your kids to grow in mind, body, and character. This also disguises fitness components such as coordination, balance, speed, agility, balance, and power. Developing their minds and body’s, our students build confidence, self-esteem, self-awareness, and self-respect.

The belt system we use at Strike Taekwondo allows for long-term goals and discipline for all ages! Ensuring to all students it may take time to get to your goals but it is possible by setting smaller goals by aiming for the next belt starting with their yellow belt!

Frequently Asked Questions we get asked!

Our kids program is excellent for anyone who needs to work on their confidence and self-esteem! Give us a call and we would love to work one-on-one or in a smaller group class to help your child get use to the environment and staff before tackling a group class!

Absolutely not! Taekwondo and other martial arts like such, are for self-defense. We ensure to remind all our students that what they are learning is to defend themselves and not to hurt others. The sparring aspect of Taekwondo help with self-control and discipline as it is always done in a controlled and safe environment.

Taekwondo has built its base around self-defense. It is the art of hand and foot which will teach you hand to hand combat as well as powerful and explosive kicks. Our curriculum also incorporates judo throws and boxing for those appropriate.

Martial Arts, unlike team sports, is an individual sport that allows the practitioner to work on and towards their own goals at their own pace. Additionally, the connection students make with each other as they work together towards their goals and the connection with the staff at Strike will definitely help motivate and keep the classes ENGAGING and FUN!

Martial arts, especially Taekwondo, is great to burn calories! Our classes incorporate a lot of moving, running, jumping, punching, and kicking! Our sparring classes are always great workout as they increase your heart rate to near maximal heart rate without it really feeling like it! It’s like sprinting for 2 minutes without actually sprinting!
